Feilding Tennis Club.

The Ladies' Championship Tournament, for a racket presented by Mr Mildred, has now been completed, resulting in a wfn for Miss Macarthur, with 60 points ; Miss L. Macarthur was second with 53, and Mrs Oldham and Miss A. H. Fry tied for third with 45. The Gent's Championship for the Challenge Cup presented by the President, Mr C. H- Coote, bas also been completed, Mr E. A. Barton being the winner for the season 1895 6, with 36 points to his credit, Mr H. B. Dyer second with 32, and Mr F. T. H. Brabant third with 23. The Gents' Handicap for a racket given by the Club, for tlie season 1695 6, was won by Mr P. P. Giesen, the Rev. Innes Jones being second. The committee, at a recent meetiDg, decided to hold the following tournaments during the present season, viz., ladies' championship and handicap Bingles ; gents' championship and handicap singles ; also, mixed handicap doubles- Entries for these tournaments will close on January 9th. Mr C. H. Coote, of the Feilding Tennis Club, and who is now in Nelson, will take part in the New Zea' anrl Championship meeting to be held there duriDg the Christmas holidays, commencing on Boxing Day. The annual match between the Wanganui Feilding Clubs will be played at Feildiug on January 22nd. A match will be played early in January between the Paimerston and Feilding Clubs.
