Wedding at Sandon.

Sandon township on Wednesday morning presented a very gay appearance with the display of bunting, &c, on the occasion ot the marriage of Miss Annie Anderson with Mr Arthur Pearce. Crowds of spectators awaited the bride at the church, the building and entrance being thronged with people. Special pnins bad been taken with the decoratious, under the supervision of Rev. Mr Keall, which consisted of floral bell, texrs, and quantities of arum lilies beautifnil3 r arranged. Tbe bride was charmingly attired iv a dress ot cream coating, trimmed with lace and lilies of tho valley, enveloped in a flowing veil, and carrying a lovely shower bouquet. .She was attended by teu bridesmaids, all wearing wreaths of cream roses — the Misses Anderpon and Pearce. attired in cream figured lustre; carrying shower bouquets, and the Misses Janson, Kibblewhite, Sanson, Neill, and Toojpkins in cream silk stripe, with lovely little moss baskets filled with cream flowers, tbe three smallest of whom, like wee fairies, preceded the bride to the altar. The ceremony was conducted by the Rev. Mr Keall, with a full choir in attendance, after which the bridal party drove away, amid perfect showers of rose leavej. Aboub sixty invited guests jartook of afternoon tea at the residence of the bride's parents, after which many toasts were given, expressing some of the good wishes universally felt for the bride's bappinoss. It was nearly five o'clock when the bride, attired iv a rechercho travelling dross of fawn and green tweed, trimmed with sequins trimmiug i;nd shot silk, and hat to match, stepped into the buggy, to the uecessavy but— we could not help thinking — unpleasant accompaniment of showers of rice, aud started for their new home in Waituna, leaving the wedding party disconsolate. The presents iocluded a purse of 25 sovereigns from the Wesleyan congregation as a small recognition of the bride's services as organist for so many years ; a large photo of the choir from its members, cheque for £5, silver coffee pot, silver tea pot, silver tea service, arm chair, duchesse suite, silver and cedar biscuit barrel, silver and china do., silver jam dish, silver sardine do., several oil paintings, lamp, silver tea and dessert spoons, cushions, cosies, gipsy table, vases, and numbers of other articles too numerous to mention, all testifying to the unusually cordial and sincere feelings entertained for the bride and bridegroom.
