Nikau Notes.

A large woolshed has just been erected by Mr Oakley, one of our most enterprising settlers. The building is fitted up with every necessary convenience and will no doubt prove of great value during the present wool season. Tbe property of Mr W. Baker, lately purchased by Mr A. Finias has now been leased to Mr Tong who has but recently arrived from England. This gentleman intends to reside with his family in the building occupied at present by its late owner, Mr W. Baker, and which is charmiunly situated in the picturesque valley which redeems the block from the monotony of a dreary landscape. The family are gifted with great musical and vocal talent, and they will prove a great acquisition.
