Stock Market.
Mr Chas. Carr reports :— I held stock sales at Birmingham and Feilding on the 24th and 27fch inst. respectively. At Birmingham the attendance was large and about the usual amount of stock came forward and most of it sold at recent values. At Feilding considerably more stock came forward than was advertised and a better tone prevailed, there being a number of buyers present. All the sheep were cleared except one pen at slightly better rates. At Birmingham Cattle - 2-year steers L 2 10s to L 2 15s ; 3 year steers, L 3 ss ; 18- month steers, 31s. Sheep— Wethers in wool, 10s 6d to 12s ; shorn ewes with lambs, 6s 6d ; hoggets, 7s 4d to 7s lid. At Feilding— -Cattle— 2 year steers, L 2 ss ; yearlings, 10s to 30s. Sheep— Hoggets^ 6s 7d, 6s 9d, 6s lOd, 7s 2d, 8s 5d to 8s 6d ; 4-booth ewes, shorn, 53 3d.
