The Revenue.
. o The last Gazette contains the quarterly accounts of the colony for the period ending BOfch September last from which we notice tbat the receipts under the head of ordinary and territorial revenue show an increase of nearly £70,000, as compared with the corresponding quarter of the previous year, the Customs yielding i.23.915 and railways £31,013 more than in 1895. The expenditure from the Consolidated Fund under the heading of civil list and permanent appropriations was £28,261 in excess of the corresponding period of last year. Part lof the Public Works fund, shows an increase on last year of £11,651, but iv Part II there is a decrease of nearly £7,000 in the expeuditure. — Standard.
