LEGISLATIVE COUNCIL. (Per Press Association.) Wellington, Sept. 9. In the Legislative Council the Hon. Mr Feldwick's Defamation Bill, which defines the law of libel, passed through Cemmittee with the amendments made by the Joint Statutes Revision Committee. The report of the JSative Affairs Committee upon the petition of Kipa and Whatanui, relative to the Horowhenua Block, was referred to Government after a long debate.
