The following team will represent Manawatu against Wanganui, in a rep. match, to be played at Palmerston North, on Saturday :— Full-back, Robinson; threequarters, Keeling, Hewitt, P. Giesen ; n re-eight, A. Jack; half, W. Shannon ; wings, Matravers, Stuart ; forwards, Perrin. Smith, Jackson, Eyre, De Luen, Prendergast, D. Matheson ; emergencies, McMinn, D. Whisker. (Per Press Association.) Wellington, September 9. The football match Wellington v. Wan* ganui was played to-day. There were about 700 spectators present. The visitors, with tbe wiud in their favor, scored a penalty goal, a try and a potted goal in the first spell to nil. In the second spell ihe local team simply ran over the visitors and scored four tnea, two of which were converted, and a potted goal, the J game ending in a victory for Wellington by 19 points to 10.
