» We have only the Awahuri pale to report on this week. Considerably mere stock than advertised came forward. The attendance was large and bidding brisk throughout the sale, and a practical clearance resulted. A line of superior mixed woolly lambs, sold on behalf of Mr Kew, of Sandon, fetched 10s. We quote : — Fat cows, £4, £4 4s, and £4 7s 6d ; yearlings and 18 months cattle, £2 ss ; weaners, 25s 6d to 27s 6d ; store cows, £2 16s. Sheep.— Ewes in lamb, 6s lOd, 7s sd, 78 9d, and 8s 6d ; empty ewes, 8s ; mixed lambs, 8s 3d to 10s ; inferior lambs, 6s ; old ewes, in lamb, 3s 3d. Three-years draught colt, £8 2s 6d. Messrs Freeman E. Jackson and Co.'s Wanganui report. — A good number of sheep came forward for the sale yesterday. The bidding was brisk and we cleared all out. We quote : — Cattle— Milch cows, up to £6 ; yearlings and weaners, 16s to 32s 6d ; young steers, £2 135. Sheep— Fat light wethers, 10s 9d to 10s lid ; fat ewes, 9s 6d to 10s 4d ; store wetbers, 8s 3d to 10s 7d ; empty ewes, 8s 9d to 9s ; hoggets, 6s 3d. Pigs— Baconers, 25 to 28s ; good half fatted pigs, 15s to 17s ; others, 11s to 12s 6d. Poultry— Fowls, 2s 6d to 4s; ducks, 3s to 4s ; turkeys 5s 6d to 7s 6d the couple.

(Per Press Association.) Christchurch, July 28. The yardings at Addington market today were below the average, and the attendance was very small. We quote : Fat Cattle— Steers brought from £5 to £7 5s ; heifers, £4 12s 6d to £6 10s ; cows, £4 10s to £6 2s 6d. . Dairy Cows— Only a few cows and springers came to band. Competition was fairly good for better sorts, which brought from £6 10s to £8 ss. Inferior cows were neglected at from £2 10s to £5. Fat Sheep— Good feeding wethers, 16s to 19s 6d ; do mixed sexes, 14s 9d to 18s 6d ; butchers' best ewes, 13s 6d to 17s 6d ; medium do, 11s to 13s. Fat Lambs— The few fat lambs in met with good sale. Better classes were taken for export at 11s to 13a Id 1 ; butchera' lines bringing from 8s 4d to 10s 6d. Store Sheep— Forward turnip wethers brought from 14a to 14s 3d, and not quite so good 12s 5d to 12s 6d ; do wethers and maiden ewes, 13s to 13s 2d; young ewes in lamb. Us 3d to 12s ; fallmouthed and aged do, 8s 2d to 9s, and lambs 6s 9d to 7s lOd. Pigs— Small entry; prices from 3Jd per lb being freely paid for baconers and porkers.
