An Appeal to the Privy Council.

The leave to appeal to tbe Privy Council in the case of Annie Brown, of Wellington, N.Z., who was convicted of complicity in connection with the illegal operation, was granted. Mrs Brown was sentenced at tbe late sittings of the Supreme Court, Wellington, to two years. Her husband had previously received a sentence of 18 years on a similar charge.
