The Stock Market.
Messrs Gorton and Son report. We held our usual stock, sale at Feilding yesterday, considerably more sheep than advertised came forward for which a good demand existed, and we cleared all yarded but a few pens of ewes in lamb. Only a few cattle were yarded all of which changed hands but two weaners. We quote : — Sheep— Fat tur-nip-fed wethers, i2s; do. 9s; other fat ewes, 8s 6d ; store wethers. 8s 9d, 9s to 9s lOd ; lambs, 4s 6d to 5s 8d ; forward ewes, 6s 9d to 7s ; empty ewes, 5s 9d to 6s 6d ; 2-tooth ewes in lamb, 8s 6d ; 6 to 8-toofch ewes iv lamb, 9s 6d (first-class line) ; 6 tooth ewes, 6s 4d to 6s sd ; mixed ages, 6s to 7s 6d.
