** "^ "O Members of the Feilding Football Club are reminded of the practice to be held in the Volunteer Hall this evening at 7.30. On Saturday last Wanganui defeated Waverley by 16 to 3, and Eaiarau beat the Collegiate team by 36 points to nil. Kalarau are said to have the strongest club team on this part of the coast. The Unionists' Club will bold a practice on the Polo ground to-morrow afternoon. The game will commence at 3 o'clock. The Palmerston II and Bed Stars will meet at Palmerston to-morrow. The following have been chosen to represent the Red Stars :— Full- back, Allen ; threequarters, W. and J. Smith, A. Foster ; live eighth, McNicol; half, Hurdle; forwards, Parkes, Rosoman, Brinkman, Evans, Smith, Morns, Hamilton, McMillan, Walton. The following will represent Palmerston II in the match against the Red Stars :— G. Short, Slack, Beale, Fleetwood, J. Bell, Weight, F. De Luen, Purser, Fitzsimmons, G. Evans, A. Short, Moffatt, Wingate, Wilson, Nash. Emergencies Hankius and Hay wood. Mr J. Manning bas been appointed referee. The Feilding and Palmerston seniors will try conclusions at Palmerston on Saturday, while the Pirate I and Foxton meet at Foxton. Apiti will play Kuahine, at Rangiwahia, on Saturday. Hawera defeated Tukapa on Friday by 6 points to nil. (Per Press Association.) Wellington, This Day. The New Zealand Union has decided to inform the Manawatu Union that, owing to the tour of the Queensland team extending over oue month they were unable to play a match against the Manawatu Union.
