Auckland, June 8, | The second and concluding day's racing in connection with the North New Zealand Grand National Steeplechase Meeting was held at Ellerslie today under favorable circumstances. Results : — Maiden Hurdle Race, 1£ miles—Annabelle 1, Sterling 2, Clayton 3. Won by a length. Time, 3min llsec. Dividends, £5 and M 4s. Pony Hurdle Race, H miles — Little Tom 1, Bit o' Fashion 2, Libeller 3. Won by tbree-quarters of a length. Time, 3min 13sec. Dividends, £5 17s and £4 Is. Great Northern Steeplechase, 3£ miles — Levanter 1, Liberator 2, Mutiny 3. Also started— Tiritea, Donald McKinnon, Barnardo, Carbuncle, Belle, Discord, Forella. Conscript. Won after a great race by less tban half a head ; Mutiny four lengths away third. Conscript finished fourth and Carbuncle fifth. Time, Bmin 37sec. Dividends, £18 and £17 2s. Handicap Hurdle Race, 1$ miles— Annabelle 1. Miss Nelson 2, Tally-ho 3. Won easily by several lengths from Miss Nelson. Time, 3min 7sec. Dividends, £1 8s and £10 Is. Tally-ho Steeplechase, 3 miles—Donaid McKinnon 1, Bombardier 2, Sam 3. Won in an easy fashion by four lengths from Bombardier ; Sam a handy third. Time, 6min ssec. Dividends, JB4 7s and £3 10s. Second Winter Welter, 7 furlongs — St Regol 1, Lady Agnes 2, Dummy 3. At the home turn St Regel came with a rush and won easily by four lengths. Time, lmin 38sec. Dividends, £4 2s and £5.
