Wanganiu Education Board.

Wanoanui, June 8. The ordinary monthly meeting commenced this evening. Present— Messrs Carson (chairman), Sanson, Bobbins, Fry, Lethbridge, Phrani and Hurley. The following appointments were made : — Normanby — Marian Gane appointed junior assistant. Paraekaretu —P. Roache appointed teacher. Campbell Street— Mrs Hanna appointed assistant. Bunnythorpe — Lucy Mowbray appointed|cadet. Feilding— Ada Watts to be kept on as first class pupil teacher. Normanby — Arthur Bates appointed pupil teacher. Terrace End— Evelyn O'Donnell appointed cadet. Sanson— Harold Bowater to be retained as first , class pupil teacher. Hawera — C. H. Warden appointed first assistant. Awatuna—Lily McKenna to remain at College Street till after next Board meeting. It was decided to inform the Undersecretary for Crown Lands that no , school had been erected at Wairakei because of insufficiency of building grant. Hiwinui — Enlargement to be con. sidered when building grant received. Chas. Hills appointed cadet. School to be kept open during midwinter holidays. Taonui — Enlargement to be considered when building grant received. Dual desks and other requisites to be supplied. Beef Creek — School district named Mangarimu. Cheltenham— Separate room to be erected. Stoney Creek — Fencing to be dealt with by Mr Pirani. Bulls— Mr Sanson to sco to repairs. Nikau — Committee to furnish Mr Lethbridge with estimate of fencing residence College Street — Receipt of letter from Mrs W. L. Luxford acknowledged. — Standard.
