• — ' * The ordinary monthly meeting opened yesterday. Present— Messrs Carson (chairman), Bobbins, Sanson, Fry, Baker, Hurley, and Fred. Pirani, M.H.R. Appointments — Kawatere : Claud Holden appointed master ; Wanganui : Miss McDonald appointed assistant; Hunterville : Misa Staffan appointed assistant ; Foxton : Leonard Furrie appointed cadet ; Feilding : Miss A. McDonough appointed assistant; Karere : Miss Agnes McEwen to exchange with Thurston Kelling, of Waitotara, if arrangements can be made ; Ratanui : H.J. Bennett resigned ; Stanway : Florence Staiteto be transferred from Halcombe : Campbell street, Palmerston : Miss McLeod promoted to second grade, and names to be sent on for vacant assistantship ; Hawera : Marian McDonough to go as junior assistant ; Eltham : Mary Shortall, of Babylon, appointed junior assistant ; Wanganui : Lilly McKenna ' to be transferred after mid-winter holidays ; Feilding : Miss Brunnette to be promoted to second assistant; College street, Palmerston : Tenobia Meads appointed cadet afte| midwinter holidays ; Terrace End : Nellie Oakley appointed pupil teacher. Drawing. — -Mr Pirani brought up the question of examiner of drawing of pupil teachers, and said objection was ? made to any teacher of drawing in the district acting. — The |matter was deferred till Tuesday. The Chairman was instructed to interview the Board's bank re exchange on teachers' cheques with the view of settling the matter at ouce.— . Standard. .
