Coal Mining Matters.
(Per Press Association). Westfort, May 7. The Arbitration Board has been fitting off and on for a week endeavoring to select a chairman, but failed. The appointment will be made by Government. The business is disputes regarding the hewing rates at the Cardiff and Westport Coal Company's collieries. The Westport Coal Company are making special efforts to get their Oranity Creek mine open by June Ist. Several vessels are offering to load here for foreign ports.
