The Transvaal Crisis.
(Per Press Association"!. London, May 9. The Chartered Company's Directors are considering the propriety of accepting Rhodes' and Beits' resignation. Pretoria. May 6. The Transvaal Government has published extracts from a letter book of Phillips, one of the prisoners writing to Werner, his financial agent in London, in July, 1894. He says Sir H. Loch stated he would certainly come if Johannesburg . possessed 3000 rifles and ammunition. Much drilling is still going on at Pretoria. It is reported Sir J. De Wit, British Agent, has been recalled. It is reported the Executive has been delayed in coming to a decision upon the question of the sentences passed upon the Reformers owing to General Joubert insisting upon unanimity.
