The officer commanding the Welling tou district received the following tele gram (at Woodville) from the Under Secretary for Defence aud it is published for the information of all concerned. "Lieut. Col. Newall. You will be good enough to convey to the Volunteers of Wellington aud surrounding districts as soon as possible the following telegram to me from the Hon. the Defence Minister. AkTHUU P.
