The Stock Market.
Messrs Freeman R. Jackson and Co. report:— The cattle yarded today were generally of poor quality, some being only good stores. The prices were lower than those of the previous sale. Sheep were in large supply, and the total were equal to last sale's rates. A lot of good pigs were penned, and prices were in favour of the purchaser. Cattle — Bullocks. £6 to £6 12s 6d ; others, £5 7s 6d to £6 ; good stores, £3 15s to £4 ; milch cows, £2 and £5 4s 6d ; weaners, 15s and 17s ; ox beef, moderate, 15s per lOOlbs. Sheep — Fat wethers, 8s 6d and 9s 6d ; ewes, 6s 6d and 7s ; extra heavy ewes, 9s ; maiden ewes, 8s ; stores, 4s 6d and 5s ; fat lambs, 5s 6d and 7s 6d ; store lambs, 3s Id. Pigs— Baconers, 26s and 345 ; large porkers, 18s and 20s ; others, 14s 6d and 16s ; small pigs, 6s aud 13s 6d.
