The Unemployed.

(Per ress Association.) Wellington, April 8. At an interview with the Minister of Public Works tho unemployed pressed for work of some kind, stating some families are almost starving. An objection was expressed to applying for charitable > aid. It was stated single men were get-" ting married for no other reason than that married men were given preference. The Minister asked for a list and said Government wore doing all they could with the means at their disposal. In a fortnight a few men would probably be found employment on the Central Trunk Line.
