The Matabele Bising.

(Per Tress Association) Capetown, March 30. The native police at Filibusi shot the Inspector before deserting. The rest have been disarmed. The rising is not spreading. Eight hundred volunteers are co-operating with the Chartered Co.'s police force. Mr Rhodes has arrived at Umtali. He said he was convinced affairs would all come right. He deprecated any alarm at his sudden return, and fully appreciated the settlers' troubles.
