Stock Market.
Messrs Gorton and Son report as follows—Our recent stock sales have been held at Waituna and Feilding, and we held a small clearing out sale at Mr J. Nicholas' Campbelltown, yesterday. We had more entries at both stock sales than were advertised. At Waituna tbe bidding was a little dull but a considerable amount of busiuess was done after the sale. At Feilding the sale was as brisk as usual, a great maay lots being disposed under tbe hammer and a good many after the sale. Our quotations are — Sheep — Waituna : 2 tooths, 5s 9d to 5s lid ; woolly lambs, 4s 6d ; shorn, 3s 4d ; f.m. ewes 3s lOd. Feilding : Wethers, several lines 6s Sd to 7s 7d ; 2 tooth ewes, 5s lOd to 7s Id ; lambs, os 6d to 4s 6d ; ewes middle ages, 4s to 5s 6d ; f.m. 2s 3d to 3s 7d. Cattle— Waituna: calves, 15s ; yearling heifers, 30s. Feilding: Cows 32s to £2 30s. Mr J. Nicholas : Dairy cows, £2 13s 6d to £'5s 18s.
