The Easter Encampment.
The following District Orders for the Wellington district re the Easter Encampment have been courteously handed to us by Captain Kirton for publication, and read as follows : — 1. The Taranaki Rifles will proceed by the 7.55 a.m. train on Thursday, 2nd April, the Inglewood detachment of the Hawera Mounted Rifles joining train at 9.5, the Hawera men at Hawera at 11.40, the whole proceeding by special train from Hawera at noon, taking up tbe Wairoa Mounted Rifles at Waverley at 1.45 p.m., arriving at Woodville at 9.30 p.m. 2. The Alexandra Cavalry, AVanganui Naval Artillery, Wanganui Rifles and Band will leave Wauganui by special traiu at 7.30 p.m. on 2nd April, taking up the Royal Rifles at Marton at 9.30, the Manchester Rifles at Feilding at 10.30, and the Palmerston North Rifles at Palmerston at 11 p.m., arriving at Woodville at 12.30 a.m. on the 3rd. 3. Tbe Manawatu Mounted Rifles will proceed by road to Woodville, their baggage being forwarded by tbe train reaching Woodville at 9.30 p.m. (see paragraph 1.) 4. The Napier Naval Artillery, the F Battery Artillery, the Napier Rifles, and Band will proceed by special train at 8.15 p.m. on 2nd, taking up the Hastings Rifles at Hastings at 9.5 p.m., and arriving at Woodville shortly after midnight. 5. All arms will parade in drill order, which will be the only order of dress throughout the camp. The haversack will contain knife, fork, spoon, plate, and pannikin, the baggage to be neatly made up and labelled ready for the drays, which will be provided at Woodville. 6. Mounted Corps will take head stalls, horse covers, and picketing rope. 7. A marching in state of each corps to be furnished ou arrival iv camp. 8. The order for return tickets will be carefully filled in by officers commanding corps, and handed to tbe railway officer issuing tickets.
