p ♦ i (Per Press Association.) Palmerston N., This Day. This morning, John Newton, aged about 25 years, unmarried, was found in his house with a double-barrelled gun between his knees, and the whole of the | upper part of his head blown away. Deceased has an aunt and cousin in Auckland. He has only been in the colony about two years. It is supposed , to be a case of suicide. Deceased had breakfast with a neighbour an hour before he was discovered, and appeared to be in his usual health. An inquest is to YtfL. lipid.
