Feilding Football Club.

The annual meeting of members of the Feilding Football Club was held in the Volunteer Hall on Saturday evening. Present — W. Shannon, W. Barlow, E.G. Wilson, A. Pl. Richards, J. Johnston, G. Smith, A. G. Carty, B. Whisker, T. knyon, B. Parkcs. The report and balance-sheet were read and adopted. The following officers were elected : — Patrou, F. Y. Lethbridge ; president, W. A. L. Bailey ; vice-presidents, Wm. L. Bailey, E. Goodbehere, H. L. Sherwill, W. A. Sandilauds, P. Thomson, P. Bartholomew ; captain, W. Shannon ; vice captain, J. Johnston ; secretary and breasurer, P. P. Giesen ; committes, W. Giesen, O. Cooper, A. Richards, B. Parkes, C. Aitken, G. Saywell ; match committee, W. Shannon, A. Richards, P. P. Giesen ; delegates to Union, W. Shannon and P. P. Giesen. It was decided to open the season on Good Friday with a match between teams to be picked by the captain and vice-captain. The following were elected members : — B. Parkes, T. Anyon, A. S. Wilson, J. Liuton, A. Bcaln, G. Smith. Mr A. C. Matheson was elected a life member of the club. It was decided that steps be taken to complete arrangements for raising funds for preparing a new ground, the lists to be sent to the secretary. It was resolved that the secretary ascertain whether the Rangitikei Union will be in force this reason, and, if so, if the Feilding Football Club can join same, the committee to decide what action to take. It was decided that the arrangements made with reference to sending a team to Wellington and Wairarapa be approvdd. The dates of matches are — Wellington, April 2sth ; Greytown, 28th ; and Red Star (Masfcerton) 30th. A hearty vote of thanks was accorded to the retiring secretary and treasurer, Mr A. G. Carty, and regret expressed at his declining reelection to the positions. The usual compliment to the Chairman terminated, the meeting.
