The Wool Market.

PRICES VERY FIRM. (Per Press Association.) London, March 18. A medium selection of wool was offered to-day, but competition was still very i active. ! The third series of wool sales opens on 28th April, and will be limited to 325,000 bales. The fourth series opens on the 30th June, and is to be limited to 375,000 bales, and the fifth series on 22nd September, when an unlimited quantity will be catalogued. March 19. Wool is very firm, and will probably remain so till the close of the series. Messrs Levin and Co. have received from their agents, Messrs Dalgety and Co. (Limited), the following cablegram, dated London, the 17th March :—" The third series of sales has been fixed to open on the 28fch April. The quantity of new wool to be admitted is limited to 325,000 bales, and no wools arriving after the opening day are to be admitted. The fourth series will open on the 30th June, and the quantity of new wool to be admitted is limited to 375,000 bales no wools arriving after the opening day to be admitted. The fifth series opens on 22ud s September ; quantity unlimited Al arrivals up to the opening of the sales will be admitted. The sixth (and last) series of the year will open on the 24th November, the lisb of arrivals closing on the 20th November."
