The Stock Market
Gorton and Son report on their stock sale as follows :— We had a full yard of cattle at our Feilding sale yestereay. Sheep, however, did not muster as advertised. We held a fairly successful sale, and cleared everything at and after the auction, but two pens of sheep and two of cattle. Cattle— Fat bullocks, £5 14s ; fat cows, -£4 to _M 14s ; forward cows, £3 10s ; store, £3 3s 6d to £3 5 S - yearlings, 37s 6d ; weaners, 18s 6d to 21s 6d ; 2-yr steers, £% 19s to £3 ; *__Uk> T'J}y°^}f- She ep-Store wethers. 6s lOd to 7s 6d ; mixed 2-tooth ewes and wetbors. 5s 6dto 6s 5d j shorn lambs 3_ 2d ; small woolly lambs, 2s 7d : forward ewes, 4s 6d ; old ewes. 2s". '
