Fire at Wellington.

(Per Press Association) Wellington, January 10. A fire broke out in H. Fielder's furniture aud upholstery factory, Manners street, to-day. The interior of the factory was completely wrecked, the smoke and water damaging or destroying what escaped from the fire. The stock in the front shop was not much damaged. The ' total amount of the insurance on tbe stock in factory and shop is £5,000, divided aa follows : — Commercial Union, i'4oo on stock in bulk store (damaged) and £800 on stock in front shop; Phcenix, £200 on stock iv factory and ±1300 on that in front shop ; North German, £400 on front shop ; Londou and Lancashire, £1500 on front Bhop. The factory building was uninsured.
