Pugilism and Death.

(Per Pbess Association). | Sydney, December 9. As the result of a dispute between two men named Pattman and Long, near Mndgee, a duel with fists was resorted to, the result of which was the death of Long, whose head was battered and swollen to twice its ordinary size. A verdict of man* slaughter was returned against Pattman, Irwin and Player, the seconds, and Bruce, timekeeper, these three being charged as accessories.
