An Important Legal Decision.

(Per Press Association) Sydney, December 9. The Supreme Court has just given an important decision. A retiring artilleryman who, when the usual allowance of six months pay was granted him, claimed an additional allowance and sued the Crown for the balance. The Crown took objection that under the Discipline Act the plaintiff had no civil rights and could not make a claim against the Queen. The Chief Justice said he was compelled to uphold the objection, and gave a verdict for the Crown.
