Cricket News.
A championship match waa played at Feilding last Saturday between Pobangina and Feilding and resulted in an easy win for the former by six wickets. The ground being very wet it was impossible to expect a good exhibition of cricket. Feilding went to the wickets first and made a poor stand before the bowling ot Itimmer, putting 51 runs to their credit altogether. Pobangina went in and knocked up 72 runs and Feildine following again only put together 45 runs, E. Pierard (formerly of Nelson) securing four wickets for 19 runs and Rimmer 3 for nothing. Pohangina on facing the bowling for the second time did not do so well and lost 5 wickets for 28 runs, Bryant securing the bunch for 20.
