FURTHER GOLD DISCOVERIES. (Per Press Association.) Melbourne, This Day. The Press, referring to the Rifle Association Meeting says it has resulted in a triumph for Whitney's Colonial Ammunition Factory. Many of the competitors used Whitney's cartridges in preference to English made. Sydney, Nov. 20. The captain of a coastal steamer has discovered the rock on which it is believed the Catterthun struck. It is visible at low water at a depth of 3£ fathoms. An extensive gold reef, which is estimated to yield 190z. to the ton has been discovered near Harden.
