DOUBLING OF THE DARDANELLES GARRISON. (Per Press Association.l London, Nov. 15. Five Russian warships have been ordered to Smyrna. Tbe assembling of fleets is regarded as a prelude to decisive action by the Powers. America is disposed to join in tbe demonstration. Fresh .massacres are reported daily, but the embassies are helpless owing to the influence of palace menials, who have the ear of tbe Sultan. The garrison of tbe Dardanelles has been doubled and searchlights placed on the summits of Mount Eales and tbe Island of Zendos. A store of Armenian bombs is reported to have been discovered afc Arabkia. It is supposed they were intended to destroy tbe military depot. Tbe Khurds are virtually masters of tbe district of Van. The Constantinople correspondent of the Standard says there is a demand for a termination of the system of Government through tbe palace favorites, and a proclamation of tbe Constitution.
