Mr Carr's Stock Sale.

.*. _ Mr Charles Carr held his monthly stock sale at Feilding to-day, but prior to commencing he said that his lease with the Farmers' Alliance expired this month and this would be his last sale in the district. Two years ago the Alliance started an auctioneering business, and after Mr McKenzie, he (Mr Carr), acted as auctioneer for them. But as they couldn't get bills discounted they had to do a cash business, but this did not prosper as farmers and everyone had to do business on bills. He, therefore, took tbe auctioneering business over himseli and now the term of his lease had expired. He offered the Alliance fair terms for a renewal, but could not get them and he had to give up the yards, as it would not pay him to give what they wanted. Although he had not lost anything he had not made sufficient to warrant his giving the bills he had. He would remain in the district and hoped still to do business with them in dealing. In conclusion he thanked them cordially for their past support.
