The Recent Collision off Wellington Heads.

(Per Press Association.) Wellington, This Day. The Court found the Wakatipu to blame for the collision, and held she was in a position of either overtaking a ship or a sbip crossing the course of another. The certificate of Captain Waller, of the Flora, was returned to him. Mr Martin said the court had decided to reserve its decision as to the certificate of Captain Ewan of tbe Wakatipu for a fortnight. In the meantime he would ascertain from the Union Company whether punishment for negligence would mean a loss of employment, as it often happened the effect of suspension of a certificate was far more severe on the man than was warranted by the slight error of judgment he had committed. The question of costs was also deferred.
