London Wool Sales.
(Per Press Association.) London, Nov. 8. At the Bradford "wool sales there is better inquiry, but prices have not improved. Crossbreds are weaker. The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company, Ltd., of Wanganui, have received account of sales by the 'Frisco mail showing that lid per lb (equal to 9£d per lb here) has been secured for a number of clips on this coast, of well grown, greasy, fleece wool, thus confirming previous London cable reports of a substantial rise on this class of wool. The N.Z.L. and M.A. Co. report :— During the week cable information has been of a disturbing nature, but we do not by any means regard the reported decline in the light of a permanency. The wools now available at Home consist for the most part of low quality scoureds and inferior and faulty greasies, and doubtless the desire on the part of importers to quit the stocks held of these descriptions before the new clip comes on the market is the chief cause of the present weakness.
