(Per Press Association). Auckland, November 8. At a meeting of the Chamber of Commerce resolutions were passed in favor of speedy construction of the Canadian and Pacific cable and that Government should secure a fair proportion of the guarantee on a basis of one fourth for Australasia, and that it be a condition that no combination be even effected with the proposed company, and any other company.
