— o— — — Messrs Abraham and Williams report : —On Saturday we held a clearing sale of horses, traps, and sundries in the estate of J. E. Harper. Bidding for horses was brisk, traps in limited inquiry but mostly sold. For the leasehold and goodwill there was no offer. Be6t buggy horses made £11 5s to £13 ss, others various prices from £3 5s to £8 10s. At our yards a full muster came forward. For draughts there was a ready sale, but hacks were dull and business very much restricted. Draughts made £15 15s to £18 : unbroken light draught filly, LlO 10s.
