At the Waipawa Magistrate's Court a boy named John Tracey, aged 17, was charged with having set fire to the Te Aute Railway Station and found guilty and sentenced to three motnhs' hard labour. The s.s. Hawke's Bay, which left for London last night, took the largest cargo of frozen meat ever sent from here by one vessel— viz., 76,862 carcases — and 3444 bales wool. Dunedin, October 25. The Taieri and Peninsula Milk Supply Company made a profit for the year, including £503 brought forward, of £1160 after writing £100 off town property. The directors recommend a dividend of 8 per cent for tne year. During the year over a million gallons of milk were handled.
