AN ABUSE REMOVED.
TO THE EDJTOB O]F TIJB STAS. Sir,— l'm sure your readers' of last night's edition' will be glad to note' that jbhe powers that be, i.e., the Kiwitea County Councillors, have at last made ijp tfyeir nijuids to u?ake use pf the Cheltenham Pon'ng. There was a ranger, and I wondered whaf for ? An& then there was an assistant ranger and I still wondered ! But now, it is all right, we'll hope, and our roads will be swept of pigs, horses, and cows, and our fences will not be pulled down by road trespassers. The owners, bye-the-bye, of these " cheaply-fed " stock may not be aware that it is equally against the law, also, to hold cows on the road, or, in the colonial language, to mind them. Rejoicing with you again. I am,- etc., Salutaris.
