The following are the quotations offered to-day about the Cauffield Cup — 100 to 16 against Hopscotch ; 100 to 10 Eiridsforde ; 100 to 8 Hova and Bruin ; 100 to 5 Havoc, Ayrshire, Mahee, Best Bower, Devon, Quiver and Preston ; 100 to 4 Trenchant, Monastery, Taranaki, The Heroine, Mischief and Lord Richmond. For the V.R.C. Derby— 3 to 1 taken and offered against Wallace ; 5 to 1 Aurana ; 7 to 1 Kallara ; 8 to 1 Challenger ; 10 to 1 Osculator. Challenger is likely to shorten in price before long. For the Melbourne Cup— Hopscotch is supported at 100 to 7 and Rewi at 100 to 6, the last mentioned being supported to win £3000 at that price. Delaware, who held the pride of position for this event for some considerable lime, has receded to 100 to 5. Armenia, Tim Swiveller, Fitzdonovan and Blue Cap have been scratched for the Caalfield Cup.
