The Stock Market.
Messrs Nolan, Tonks, and Co's Stock Eeport— At Opunake, on the 17th mst., we had a sood entry of cattle, but mostly young stock. Prices were slightly mad vance of late rates. At Manaia, on the 19th inst , there was only a medium entry, but fair prices were realised. During the week we have disposed privately of several lines of hoggets, ewes and lambs, and fat cattle at fair prices. We quote : — Cattle— Springer*, £4 7s Gd to £o '6s; empty forward heifers. ±6 10s to £6 12s 6d ; cows and calve?, 13 10s to £4 ; weavers, 30s to 38s ; yearling', £± 2s to £2 5s ; 2 year steere, £1 17s (5d to £?> 5s ; 2J year Bteer?, £'6 7s Cd to £3 12s Gd ; bullocks, £6 10s to £7. Sheep— Hoggets, 7s Cd to 9s 6d ; ewes and lamb?, 0? Cd to 0s Gel.
