| Per Press Association.] Di'nkmn, September 23. In spite of a cold south-west wiud and occasional showers a s'art was made today with the Ladies" Goif Tournament. There were 13 byes in the championship leaving only three matches to be played. Mrs Wilder, the present champion, beat Mrs Venuon by 3up and 2 to play ; Mrs Higgins beat Mrs Scott, 9 up aud 7 to play ; Mrs Pyne beat Mrs Gould, 5 and 3to play. For the handicap over 18 holes (medal play), Mrs Hig»ius; scratch proved the winner with 1(W ; Miss Rattray, 14, being second with 110 uct.
