Golf Match.

o The Feilding Golf Club visited Palmerston yesterday to try conclusions with the Manawatu Golf Club, and a most enjoyable game was played in the " Hokowhitu Links." The visitors were unable to put their strongest team in the field, and the Manawatu Golf Club, played two substitutes. Dr Wilson and Mr R. S. Abraham being unable to be present Messrs C. T. Monro and L. A. Abraham took their places. The following is the result ofthe games :— holes holes J, S Wilson 11 v. C. Coote 0 C. T. G. Still 10 v. W. T. Grant 0 C. J. Monro 4 v. A. Levett 0 L. A Abraham 5 v. N. Hayne 0 The Manawatu Club therefore won by 30 holes. It is probable that a return match will be played on the Feilding Links on Wednesday the 2nd October.— Standard.
