A RISE IN PRICE ANTICIPATED. Messrs Johnston and Co., of Wellington, have issued the following circular : — We have pleasure in informing you that for the first time for many months there are indications of an upward tendency in the hemp market generally, and that in sympathy therewith, buyers in America and England are again enquiring into tbe condition of tbo New Zealand flax industry. Sales of g.f.aq. are reported in London at .£ls per ton, while in America, stocks held for many months are being sold, and in the middle of August last the price of manilla and sisal advanced in New York one cent per pound, equal to £ 4 13s 4d per ton.
