The Kucheng Massacre.
THE ENQUIRY A MOCKERY. (Per Press Association). Shanghai, September 17. Owing to the absence of the British marines at Kucheng, and the fact that there are no warships at Foochoo, the Chinese are reducing the enquiry into the recent massacre to a mockery. Prisoners are daily released and the British Consul flouted.
