More Native Obstruction.
Ohingaiti, September 11. Mr Peters reports tbat the Natives at Tokaanu invited Mr Maitland, Government Surveyor, to a meeting held last last Thursday. Mr Grace was interpreter, and after a much excited korero the Natives decided to stop tbe survey of any roads in Tokaanu. Subsequently the women stopped the survey party coming into Tokaanu. Mr Maitland wrote to headquarters for instructions. — Merctry.
