The Stock Market.
Messrs Abraham and Williams report : Cattle mustered at Palmerston in full nnmbers. All classes were in good demand, the bulk selling freely under the hammer. Beef sold readily at somewhat advanced rates. Store sheep, in moderate supply, were without alteration in value ; those deficient in quality without inquiry. Fat ewes in limited numbers maintained the increased rates ruling last week. Fat bullocks, L5 19s L6 14s, L7 Bs, L7 14s ; 3-year steers, L4 4s ; 2to H year do., L2 17s 6d to L3 10s : yearling" do, 33s to 45 ; 18-mons. heifers, L2 19s ; milch cow?, L3 15s to L6. Sheep - Prime fat ewes, Is ; others l'-slOd: light wethers, 11s 8d ; empty ewes, 8s 2d ; hoggets, Bs.
