Apiti Notes.

The Hope of Apiti Lodge, 1.0.G.T., held a very enjoyable open meeting on Saturday, August 81, but owing to the roads being muddy and the weather unfavorable the gathering was not so large as on previous occasions, only about 46 members being present. Refreshments of a substantial nature were liberally provided. Songs and recitations given in good style brought a successful meeting to a close. On September Ist about thirty members from Apiti and others from Rangiwahia Lodge journeyed to Birmingham to take part in the Church Parade. They formed a procession from the Argyle Boarding House to ihe Church, where the special services were conducted by Mr Tolley and Brother Guy, after which the members of the Birmingham Lodge entertained the visitors at a sumptuous tePji The Rev Bro. Richards conducted the evening service, at the conclusion of which the visitors departed for home, well pleased with their trip.
