This Day, The Premier has cabled to the AgentGeneral to inform the Imperial Government that all moat sent to England bearing the Victorian Government brand undergoes a strict double inspection before it is killed and bofore it is frozen. There is also a supervision over meat sent from New South Wales for shipment, and the Victorian Government made no oversight, so as not to prejudice Victorian shipments ; and it was intended to ask the New South Wules authorities to adopt a simi- j lai- mode of inspection with regard to j Victorian meat, so that the closest guarantee can be given British consumers.'
