Abraham and Williams report : —We have only our Palmerston sale of yesterday to report upon. Sheep were below usual numbers. Tho quality of the 1 hoggets was rather better than medium and sold freely under the hammer. Breeding ewes were in moderate inquiry and sold steadily. Indifferent sheep without inquiry. Fat cattle in increased supply proved about sufficient for requirements, aud sold readily under the hammar. A few milkers and undergrown heifers made up the remainder of the entry and were all cleared at quotations. Cattle— Fat bullocks, £6 6s to £6 16s 6d ; fafceows £4 12s 6d to £5 6s ; milch cows, springing, £4: to £5 ; older, L 2 ; small heifers in calf, 365. Sheep— Prime fat ewes, 10s 6d ; others 4s 5d ; hoggets, 6s 6d to 6s lid; others 6s r culls, 3s 8d ; breeding ewes, 6s Sd to 6s lid.
